The ECS SV Composter (Stationary Vessel) uses site-built vessels (tunnels) made of concrete and stainless steel. The vessel size can be varied to accommodate throughputs from 1-500+ tons per day. The stationary vessels create a compact facility footprint that adapts easily to all weather conditions and year-round operation. The SV Composter includes all of the advantages of a low-headspace in-vessel composting system.

Composting unsorted MSW
Vessel Group 1 for primary composting
|
The SV Composter design is flexible. Vessel are sized and configured per the Client’s
process goals. Vessel loading can be highly mechanized with vessel-loading conveyors to
reduce labor costs or work efficiently using front-end loaders. The vessels are unloaded
with front end-loaders. The vessels are insulated; they can stand alone or be incorporated
into a partially or completely enclosed facility. The SV system has minimal worker and
building exposure to the composting environment.

Granby Co WWTP
Composting Biosolids
|
The SV Composter™ can accommodate any feedstock or combinations of feedstocks,
including municipal solid wastes (MSW), food waste (often called source separated
organics SSO), and biosolids. With MSW and SSO facilities, ECS engineers integrate
pre-processing equipment that often includes sorting lines, bag-breakers, wet-mills,
debris roll screens, and heavy duty compost mixers. ECS engineers also design and
include covered or uncovered ASP systems for extended curing (secondary composting)
and trommel screens and air-classification systems for product refining.
